Kenelm Youth Trust Football Tournament

On the 29th of September some boys and girls from the St Francis Xavier and English Martyrs Youth Group took part in a football tournament held by the Kenelm Youth Trust at St Mary’s College Oscott in Sutton Coldfield. Throughout the day the group took part in a mass service at one of the seminary’s chapels, had their questions answered by of the college’s seminarians, and got a tour of St Mary’s.
Outside, they played a competitive 5-aside football tournament against other churches’ teams. The 2 teams we fielded placed 2nd and 4th respectively.

The KYT Football Tournament is a FREE event for young people in years 6 – 12, taking place at Oscott College on Sunday 29th September 2024 in our diocese. The football tournament is designed to bring young people in parish youth groups and schools together to celebrate their faith through sport.
The day will include football, mass and a ‘Life of a Seminarian’ tour of Oscott College. We encourage parishes and schools to enrol a team of 7 young people for some friendly competition.
